PROJECT RECORD

Two reviews passed. The post still sounded wrong.

On September 20, I published a short post about a Jev benchmark. The facts were accurate, but the post read like a validation memo. I had packed in the data split, the reused validation cases, the routing results and the failure threshold. Each detail could be defended. Together they buried the experience I was trying to describe.

The awkward part is that the post had already passed two reviews.

My usual process gives the first reviewer the draft and its sources. After I revise it, a second reviewer gets the purpose, intended audience, source facts and complete new version, without the first reviewer’s verdict. The aim is to give that second reader room to disagree.

LangChain’s September 8 article on context modes in Deep Agents describes a similar choice. An isolated subagent receives the task but not the supervisor’s conversation. A forked subagent inherits that conversation. LangChain suggests isolation for a verifier, where the supervisor’s diagnosis could anchor the review, and forking when a worker needs the investigation that came before.

The reviews did catch real problems. One removed a manufactured lesson and tightened how I described the human-review route. The second checked the revised facts. Even so, neither review caught what became obvious once the post was live: the whole thing still sounded assembled rather than written.

I rewrote the Jev post before X’s edit window closed. The new version kept the parts a reader needed: the synthetic first test, the 50 past business cases, the reused final 15, the failed rejection and human-review routes, and what I plan to try next. The rest belonged in my notes.

For the next review, I want passages marked when they belong in my experiment notes rather than in the post. In this case, the reused validation cases needed to stay; the detailed routing threshold could go.
