About

Woong is the name I use for general work; papers appear under Byungwoong Yoo. I now work independently across research and small products. The archive also keeps the earlier attempts.

2014–2017

It began with six people learning to build apps

In 2014, a six-person Android study group grew into CADI and then CODE FACTORIAL. The work expanded into app, web and IoT projects and public seminars. Reports from 2015 identify me as CODE FACTORIAL’s founder and representative; the archived page for the second CADINAR lists me as its event creator.

Those years also left plans and interfaces for projects such as Modu-ui Gangyeon, Rookiest Player and HelloVoice. Some stopped after a team formed; others never went beyond a prototype. I do not describe them as launches when no public release or users can be verified.

2019–2025

The teaching years are best preserved in the files

A note at the front of my 2019 grammar book reaches back further: I had started by helping classmates who were stuck with English, then began teaching at an academy in my first year of university.

Years of classroom questions became a 207-page grammar ebook, revised in 2021, along with syntax books, workbooks, special-lecture packs and a written process for producing school-specific tests. Those materials say more about the period than a list of academy names would.

2026–

The same working habits moved into health, research and products

Recent work has focused on health information, Korean medicine and accessibility. I made and donated two health guides, released Dental Companion and Uibang Seongdo, and published a sole-authored Keap1 study in In Silico Pharmacology after repeated simulations changed the original ranking.

The archive

I do not keep only the projects that worked

The old folders also contain unreleased apps, competition entries that produced no result, rejected manuscripts and calculations I eventually stopped. I keep them when the material still shows what was tried and where it ended. No result gets added later just to make the story cleaner.

This is not a complete account of the work or the years around it. I left out most episodes that survive only in memory and cannot be checked against a file or public record. Some stretches therefore look shorter and drier than they felt. I will fill them in when better material turns up.
