I stopped instead of extending the same evidence. This is a field note about that gate, not a report of research findings.
What the expansion audit did
I reviewed the scope of a Paeonia–Glycyrrhiza transcriptome reanalysis and set a condition for further work: a validation context separate from the existing material.
The stop decision
I could not meet that condition. More analysis of the same material would not substitute for independent validation. Rework stays paused unless a new context becomes available.
